Indian actor Siddharth Makkar, better known by his stage name Sid Makkar, performs in both Hindi and English-language motion pictures and television shows. After attending the University of Texas, Sid started acting. He has contributed to American, British, Australian, and Indian films. Sense8 Season 2 (Netflix) by the Wachowskis, the Australian film ‘Save your Legs’, and the highly popular John Madden-directed The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel starring Judi Dench and Dev Patel are among his works.
Sid has starred in movies including Hacked, Turning 30, and Zoya Akhtar’s debut feature, Luck by Chance, as well as Indian television shows like “Spotlight” and “Six.” In the ‘Dariba Diaries’ series from the Mughal era in the 1850s, he played the lead detective and was well praised.
He chose to portray the title character in the popular Bollywood musical Zangoora because of his passion for theater. He played the part of Gautama Buddha in Lushin Dubey’s Buddha and contributed to other dramatic plays, such as “Art” by Mahabanoo Mody Kotwal and Kaizaad Kotwal and “Where Did I Leave my Purdah” by Lillete Dubey.
