American screenwriter, director, and actor Shane Black was born on December 16, 1961 and is well-known for his unique action and comic filmmaking. In addition to creating the Lethal Weapon franchise, he is the author of several films, including The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996), The Monster Squad (1987), The Last Boy Scout (1991), and Last Action Hero (1993). Black’s most well-known performance as an actor was in the 1987 film Predator as Hawkins. In 2005, he directed his first motion picture, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Black later wrote and directed The Nice Guys (2016), The Predator (2018), and Iron Man 3 (2013).
