Senthil Kumar

Senthil Kumar, popularly known as Mirchi Senthil, is a versatile Indian actor, television presenter, radio jockey, and voice actor, born on 18 October 1978 in Chennai. Commencing his professional journey as a radio jockey with Radio Mirchi, he soon transitioned into the world of acting, leaving an indelible mark in both film and television industries.

Renowned for his lead role as Saravanan in the highly acclaimed serial “Saravannan Meenatchi” on STAR Vijay, Senthil garnered widespread recognition. Notably, he tied the knot with his co-star Sreeja Chandran in a private ceremony in Tirupathi on 2 July 2014, much to the joy of their numerous fans worldwide. The unexpected announcement of their marriage on Senthil’s radio show, “Neenga Naan Raja Sir,” on 8 July 2014, created a buzz of excitement among their admirers.

Born to S. Govindan and Premavathy, Senthil received his education at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School in Chennai. He pursued his Bachelors (BCom) at Pachaiyappa’s College, Chennai, and further completed his Masters (Master of Finance and Control) at Madurai Kamaraj University. Prior to venturing into the media and entertainment industry, he briefly worked in the banking sector.

Making his mark in the film industry, Senthil debuted as an actor in “Thavamai Thavamirundhu” and continued to play lead roles in notable films such as “Sengathu Bhoomiyilae,” “Kan Pesum Vaarthaigal,” and “Vennila Veedu.”
