Director Sasikiran Narayana is employed in the Tollywood sector. She is the daughter of MS Narayana, a well-known comedian. After completing her studies at Bheemavaram, Sasikiran married right away at the age of 18. She ultimately began seeking for job after having to take a break from her marriage due to various issues. She began working for a multimedia firm, but she realized it wouldn’t be a long-term fit for her because she always had bigger goals.
Then, when she directed her first Telugu TV series, she finally transitioned from corporate to directing. Sasikiran later received her first break when a producer approached her about working with a female director on a film. Sasikiran knew at the time that she was ready since she had accumulated enough experience directing TV series and short films, despite her father’s reservations about her ability to direct a feature on her own. Ultimately, Saheba Subramanyam, a Malayalam film remake, was the first film directed by Sasikiran.
A Hindu and a Muslim girl’s interfaith relationship is the subject of the film. Sasi enlisted her father’s assistance in publicizing the film. Although the film was a critically lauded work of art, it did not have a significant influence at the box office. It earned great reviews and was highly appreciated. As one of the few female filmmakers, Sasikiran has also frequently discussed the lack of women’s authority in the industry. Sasi stated in an interview that she hasn’t experienced any overt discrimination, but she asks the parerits to let their daughters to pursue their goals.
