Saqib Ayub, a 28-year-old actor based in Mumbai, was born and raised in the city, where he currently resides permanently.
Since 2012, he has been actively involved in the industry. Trained in Hindustani theatre, he has performed in over 70 short plays, featuring stories by renowned authors like Munshi Premchand and Manto. Additionally, he has appeared in more than 50 commercials for various brands, including the inaugural print campaign of Spotify in India.
Saqib made his television debut in 2016 with the Channel V show “Ishq Unplugged”. His first feature film was “Thugs of Hindostan”, alongside stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, and Katrina Kaif. Notably, his portrayal of Hemant in the Netflix series “SHE”, created and produced by Imtiaz Ali, garnered attention.
In addition to “SHE”, he has been featured in web shows such as “Bombers” (Zee5), “The Missing Stone” (MX Player), and “Main Hero Boll Raha Hu” (Alt Balaji).
Upcoming projects for Saqib include Dharma’s highly anticipated film “Brahmastra”, Raj & DK’s next series titled “Farzi” starring Shahid Kapoor, and Excel Entertainment’s upcoming series “Bambai Meri Jaan”. He is also set to appear in Meghna Gulzar’s next feature film titled “Sam Bahadur”, starring Vicky Kaushal.
Standing at 5’9″, Saqib is fluent in Hindi, English, Urdu, and Marathi. Hailing from Bihar, he excels in the UP-Bihar Hindi dialect and is known for his ability to master various accents in the Hindi language.
