Biography:

Santosh Shetty is a renowned Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, and director who has worked extensively in Indian television and digital entertainment. He started his career as an assistant director but then went on to become a prolific director of crime thrillers and investigation dramas. Santosh Shetty became popular because of his long association with the famous crime TV series C.I.D., where he has directed many episodes and has contributed as a writer and a screenwriter. He has been nominated multiple times for the Indian Telly Award in the Best Direction, Best Story, and Best Screenplay categories for his work on C.I.D.

Other than C.I.D., he has worked as a director on TV and OTT shows such as Shrikant Bashir (2020), Rudrakaal (2021), and C.I.D. 2, and he has even ventured into regional films like Marathi film, Andya Cha Funda (2017) and Tulu film, Yaan Superstar (2023), for which he was also a writer. Santosh Shetty is known for his gripping stories, excellent control over crime and action genres, and suspenseful narratives.
