Indian actress Saniya Iyappan was born on April 20, 2002 and has acted in Malayalam movies and TV series. Her most well-known performances were in the 2018 movie Queen and the 2019 movie Lucifer. Saniya has won two SIIMA Awards and a Filmfare Award South
Saniya began her television career as a competitor on Mazhavil Manorama’s dance reality show D2 – D 4 Dance. She finished the show as the second runner-up. Saniya played the younger version of Isha Talwar’s character in Balyakalasakhi, her 2014 film acting debut. As Suresh Gopi’s daughter, she also acted in Apothecary that year. Following a string of cameos, Saniya landed her first major role in the 2018 movie Queen.
She received multiple awards for her performance, including the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut-South. She then acted in Lucifer, the directorial debut of Prithviraj Sukumaran. She then made a cameo in the Mammootty-starred movie The Priest. She then starred opposite Vishnu Unnikrishnan in the lead role of Krishnankutty Pani Thudangi, a rape and retribution horror movie, in which she received praise from critics.
