Biography:
Gowri (2024) marked the feature debut of Indian actor Samarjit Lankesh in the Kannada film industry. The grandson of writer-filmmaker P. Lankesh and the son of director and producer Indrajit Lankesh, he was born into a family steeped in literary and cinematic traditions. whose writings are regarded as foundational in Kannada literature today. Gauri and Kavitha Lankesh are his nephews.
He subsequently studied theater and trained in acting and filmmaking at a New York-based institution, which prepared him for a career in entertainment.
