Australian actor Samuel Henry John Worthington was born on August 2, 1976, and is well-known for his roles in both Hollywood and independent Australian films.

He became well-known in Australia thanks to his successful roles in movies like Bootmen (2000) and Somersault (2004), the latter of which earned him the country’s top honor for Best Actor. He also became well-known for his work in the television show Love My Way. Worthington became well-known throughout the world after starring in James Cameron’s Avatar (2009), the highest-grossing movie ever made. He returned for the film’s historic follow-up, Avatar: The Way of Water (2022).
