Sam Fernandes

Biography:

Sam Fernandes was born on April 7, 1980, into a low-income household in Mumbai, Maharashtra. After quitting school in the fifth grade, he later sought a career in marketing. Along with other activities, Sam has ties to Bollywood and boxing in India.

In 2021, Sam Fernandes is appointed head of the World Boxing Council’s Indian division. He is also in charge of the CSR arm of the council, WBC Cares India Chapter. WBC Cares’ main goal is to support NGOs working locally to advance a variety of causes.

Sam Fernandes won the World Boxing Council’s 2018 Best Boxing Promoter award for Asia.
