Sahil was raised in Australia and is descended from a Sindhi family. He studied management, completed his master’s degree in information technology, and worked graveyard hours as a bouncer at Australia’s nightclubs. Following that, he relocated to Mumbai and began modeling full-time. He became well-known in the modeling community for his stunning body and sense of style.
Sahil gained notoriety as a competitor on The Amazing Race Asia’s inaugural season, which aired from 2006 to 2007. He has also walked for designers like Manish Malhotra, Vikram Phadnis, Narendra Kumar, and JJ Valaya, and done numerous TV advertisements for brands including HCL Enterprise, Tata Indica, Lux, and Cadbury’s Eclairs. Before entering the movie industry, he studied voice and acting from seasoned actors like Anupam Kher.
He made his Bollywood debut in the follow-up to Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2 in 2011. Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani, and Lara Dutta are the film’s main stars. In the film, Sahil portrays Arjun, a young police officer who assists co-star Priyanka Chopra in her pursuit of the cunning enemy. The movie debuted on December 23, 2011, and its first weekend gross of ₹484 million (US$5.8 million) blew away the box office.
