Sadhana Singh born in 1957 is an Indian actress known for her roles in Hindi films and television. She was born into a Rajput family in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, with roots in Punjab. Her career in entertainment began with a magazine shoot by Pardeep Mishra, and she made her film debut in 1982 with Nadiya Ke Paar, directed by Govind Moonis.
Sadhana gained widespread recognition following the release of Nadiya Ke Paar, where she played the character Gunja, an innocent village girl who falls in love with her brother-in-law. This role brought her significant popularity, and she has since appeared in over twenty Bollywood and regional films, including recent titles like Jugni, Mukkabaaz, and Super 30. In addition to her film work, she has starred in numerous popular TV serials.
She is married to Rajkumar Shahabadi, a film producer and son of Vishwanath Prasad Shahabadi, who produced Bhojpuri cinema’s first film, Ganga Maiyya Tohe Piyari Chadhaibo. The couple has a daughter, Sheena Shahabadi, who is also an actress, and a son. Sadhana’s sister, Surinder Kaur Singh, is a television actress known for her roles in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin and Banoo Main Teri Dulhann.
