S. P. Rajkumar is an Indian filmmaker renowned for his work in the Tamil film industry. Following this, in the year 2000, he took on the director’s chair for his second feature film, “En Purushan Kuzhanthai Maathiri,” which unfortunately did not perform well at the box office.
His journey in the world of filmmaking included both successes and setbacks, with his film “Ponmanam” in 1998 receiving positive responses, while “Karmegham” in 2003 faced commercial disappointment. Additionally, he had plans for a movie titled “Thoodhu” in 2003, starring Bhavana, which ultimately got shelved.
After a hiatus of six years, S. P. Rajkumar returned to the directorial scene with “Azhagar Malai,” a film that surprised everyone with its sleeper hit status. Subsequently, he worked on his fifth film, “Sura,” featuring Vijay in the lead role.
