Biography:

Rishabh Anupam Sahay is an Indian film director, author, lyricist, and producer hailing from Mumbai who has had experience across the fields of film making, advertising, fine arts, music, and design. He has close to two decades of experience in the creative industry, directing and producing advertisement projects of brands such as Adidas, Raymond, Louis Philippe, Taj Hotels, and Nadir Italy. In addition to this, some of his work includes the short films ‘On the Death of a Poet’ (2014) and ‘Raven’ (2022). ‘Raven’ has had official selections for the London Fashion Film Festival and La Jolla Fashion Film Festival. Apart from film making, his work in photography has also been recognized in the Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3) with his photo series ‘Autumn Eulogy’.

Sahay carved out a niche for himself in story-telling in the form of feature-lengths with ‘Salt City’ (2022). It was a SonyLIV family drama that was created, written, directed, and co-produced by him in collaboration with Applause Entertainment and Sunshine Productions. Salt City is a seven-episode series featuring Piyush Mishra, Divyenndu, Gauahar Khan, and Monica Chaudhary, exploring the complex family relations in the Bajpai family set in the context of Mumbai. All the seven episodes were directed by him along with writing the show.
