Northern Ireland-born playwright and actor Richard Dormer was born on November 11, 1969. His most well-known parts are those of Dan Anderssen in Sky Atlantic’s Fortitude and Beric Dondarrion in the HBO television series Game of Thrones. Dormer was born in Portadown, Northern Ireland, into a Protestant family. He attended London’s RADA School of Acting. He returned to Northern Ireland after residing and working in London.
