Rhea Kapoor

Biography:

Rhea Kapoor is an Indian film producer and fashion entrepreneur. She co-founded the fashion label Rheson with her sister, Sonam Kapoor. Rhea began her career in film production with Rajshree Ojha’s 2010 movie Aisha, which featured her sister Sonam and Abhay Deol.

She also produced the 2014 film Khoobsurat, directed by Shashanka Ghosh, a modern remake of the classic Hrishikesh Mukherjee film. In 2017, she expanded into fashion with the launch of Rheson. Rhea co-produced the film Veere Di Wedding, which premiered on June 1, 2018.

Born on March 5, 1987, she is the daughter of actor Anil Kapoor and his wife Sunita. Rhea’s family includes her siblings Sonam and Harshvardhan Kapoor, her grandfather Surinder Kapoor, and relatives in the film industry such as Boney Kapoor, Sridevi, and Arjun Kapoor. She completed her graduation in Dramatic Literature from New York University. Rhea married her long-time partner, Karan Boolani, in a private ceremony at her family’s home in 2021.
