Biography:

Rani, who is also recognized as Raksha, is an Indian actress renowned for her appearances in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi-language films. Her claim to fame lies in the song “O Podu” from the movie Gemini, which features her and is sung by Anuradha Sriram. This iconic performance led to her being affectionately known as “O Podu” Rani. Notably, she earned the prestigious Andhra Pradesh government Nandi award for her outstanding supporting actress role in the film Nachavule (2008).

Rani  wears multiple hats in the Indian entertainment industry. In addition to her acting career, she has ventured into production. Born in India in 1974, Rani is currently 49 years old. Her professional journey has primarily revolved around the Kollywood and Tollywood entertainment landscapes, where her artistic contributions have graced both Tamil and Telugu-language movies.

She has been part of several Tamil films, some of which turned out to be huge hits, including “Villu Pattukaran,” “Nattamai,” “Andha Naal,” “Sivan,” “Nenjinile,” and “Pagiri.” Additionally, she expanded her horizons by working in films from other languages, particularly in Mollywood.
