Biography:

Indian actor Ramakrishnan has acted in Tamil-language movies. He has acted in main and supporting parts in movies like Pongadi Neengalum Unga Kadhalum (2014) and Oru Kanavu Pola (2017) after making his screen debut in Rajmohan’s rural drama Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum (2009). With the intention of becoming a director, Ramakrishnan first worked as an assistant to director K. Balachander before moving on to work with director Cheran. Later, when S. P. B. Charan invited him to play the lead in Rajmohan’s rural drama Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum (2009), he had second thoughts. Rather than appear in Pandiraj’s Pasanga (2009), he worked on the movie.

He later followed it up with Rasu Madhuravan’s Goripalayam (2010) and the long-delayed Vetkathai Kettal Enna Tharuvaai, in which he was meant to play the lead role but was replaced by Ashok and ended up making a cameo. Ramakrishnan also consented to write a screenplay for Charan’s production company, but the movie never came to be. Pongadi Neengalum Unga Kadhalum (2014), which he directed and performed in, received harsh criticism from critics due to its sexist content. He made appearances in Oru Kanavu Pola and Yentha Nerathilum in 2017.
