Raju Murugan, born on 8th april on 1983 in  Abivirutheeswaram Village in Tamil Nadu and hailing from Tiruvarur, is a multifaceted artist with a career spanning writing, journalism, and filmmaking. He has made significant contributions to the world of Tamil cinema, establishing himself as a notable writer, journalist, screenwriter, and film director.

Raju Murugan’s journey in the realm of creativity began with his literary works, which include “Vattiyum Muthalum,” “Ondru,” and “Gypsy.” These pieces of writing were published in the renowned Tamil magazine, Ananda Vikatan, showcasing his early talent as a writer and storyteller.

In 2014, Raju Murugan ventured into filmmaking and made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed film “Cuckoo.” This marked the beginning of his career as a filmmaker, and the film was well-received for its unique storytelling and memorable characters.

His second directorial venture, “Joker,” achieved remarkable recognition by winning the prestigious Best Feature Film in Tamil award at the 64th National Film Awards.
