Indian director and occasional actor S. V. Rajendra Singh Babu was born on October 22, 1952, and he mainly works in Kannada movies. Mysore is where he was born and raised. Mahatma Pictures (Mysore) was the name under which his father, Shankar Singh, produced numerous films.
Love romances, war stories, thrillers with a twist, and comedies are just a few of the genres that Babu has written and directed in Kannada and Hindi. In an interview, Babu revealed that although his father had wanted him to become a doctor, his desire to work with a camera had driven him into the film business. Babu was enthralled with movies like The Great Escape, Guns of Navarone, and The Bridge on the River Kwai since he came from a family of filmmakers. He feels that movie theaters ought to be close to their patrons.
