Rajeev Siddhartha

Biography:

Siddhartha was born on April 11, 1986, in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. He attended boarding schools in Mussoorie and Dehradun throughout his early years. He attended The Doon School in Dehradun before attending St. Stephen’s College in Delhi to pursue an honors degree in economics. Additionally, he holds an MBA from Mumbai’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management and Higher Studies (NMIMS). Siddhartha spent a year working at an investment bank following his MBA.

Siddhartha made an appearance in the film Dil Dosti Etc. while attending college. After obtaining his MBA and working at an investment bank, he made his stage debut in Mumbai in 2011 with Lillete Dubey’s Adhe Adhure. According to Mumbaitheatreguide.com, “Rajeev Siddhartha plays the son to perfection, faithfully portraying the repressed angst of the character.” He later performed in August Osage County, Wedding Album, The Dancing Donkey, Gauhar, and The Merchant of Venice. His performance as Bassanio in The Merchant of Venice received mixed reviews. Among the Cineplays (original Hotstar series) he has seen are Adhe Adhure and Vijay Tendulkar’s cherished Khamosh Adalat Jaari Hai and Kanyadaan.
