Raima Sen

Biography:

Raima Sen, known for her striking resemblance to her grandmother, candidly shared her love for Mumbai’s energetic lifestyle in a recent interview. Despite enjoying the city’s fast pace, vibrant gyms, and lively nightclubs, she expressed missing her family in Kolkata, her dog Cuddles, and Kolkata’s iconic street food.

In 2006, Sen revealed a brief relationship with Odisha politician Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo, which lasted from 2006 to 2007. Her film debut in “Godmother” received critical acclaim, though her minor role may have been overshadowed by Shabana Azmi’s lead performance. Noteworthy performances followed in “Daman,” where she played Raveena Tandon’s daughter.

The turning point in Sen’s career came with Rituparno Ghosh’s “Chokher Bali” and continued success with films like “Parineeta,” “Dus,” and the Bengali film “Antar Mahal.” She showcased her versatility in projects like “The Bong Connection” (2006), “Manorama Six Feet Under” (2007), and the hit Bengali film “Baishe Srabon” (2011).

In 2014, Sen starred in the critically acclaimed “Hrid Majharey,” the first Bengali film based on Shakespeare’s works, shot in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
