R. Raghu

R. Raghu, an Indian film director and television producer known for his work in Telugu and Tamil cinema, is the son of the legendary actor V. K. Ramasamy. His career in the entertainment industry has spanned several decades, and he made a significant change in his life in 2015 when he adopted the name David Nathan.

Raghu began his directorial journey in the 1990s, primarily focusing on drama films featuring the popular actor Karthik in leading roles. His directorial debut was “Vigneshwar” in 1991, marking the beginning of his cinematic ventures. Subsequently, he continued to helm films, with four consecutive projects starring Karthik.

His final directorial work in this phase was “Sundara Pandian” in 1998, a film in which Karthik portrayed dual roles. However, after this period, he shifted his focus to television serials and took a break from filmmaking.

In 2015, there was a significant development in his career when he officially changed his name to David Nathan. Under this new identity, he contributed to the storytelling of Telugu films such as “Gentleman” (2016) and “Yuddham Sharanam” (2017).

This change marked a fresh chapter in his professional journey, allowing him to explore different aspects of the entertainment industry beyond directing.
