Indian actress Priyanka Nair primarily works in the Malayalam film industry. In 2006, she debuted in the Tamil movie Veyyil. For her performance in Vilapangalkappuram, she was awarded the 2008 Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress. At Mar Ivanios College in Thiruvananthapuram, Priyanka studied physics and earned her Higher Secondary School Certificate. She was also doing part-time acting at the time in a number of Malayalam TV shows, such as Akashadoothu, Megham, and Umakkuyil. She said that she viewed appearing in serials to be “just time pass” and that she had no intention of acting in movies; instead, she aspired to become a lecturer. Priyanka wed actor and Tamil film director Lawrence Ram on May 23, 2012, in Thiruvananthapuram’s Attukal Temple. On May 18, 2013, Mukund, their son, was born. In 2015, the pair filed for divorce.
