Priscilla Avila

Priscilla Avila, a versatile Brazilian actress and writer, has left an indelible mark in Brazil’s entertainment landscape through her diverse roles in plays, films, and television shows. Born in a small city in Minas Gerais, her early years were marked by travels across various regions, from Rio Grande do Sul to Bahia, ultimately leading to her immersion in the world of acting upon settling in Itabuna, Bahia.

Her tryst with acting began with theatrical endeavors and commercials, commencing her stage debut as a child. Joining the Theatre Group at the University of South of Bahia (UESC) in 2001 further solidified her passion for the performing arts. Avila’s quest for cinematic endeavors led her to venture into short films in Bahia in 2009, marking her initial foray into the world of movies.

Despite her dedication to acting, Avila remained committed to her education. Initially studying Psychology and later shifting her focus to Foreign Languages, Culture, and Creative Economy, she honed her language skills and broadened her cultural horizons through travels and studies worldwide. Her pursuit of acting enhancement took her to Argentina, France, and the United States for intensive training, expanding her skills and experiences in the industry.

In 2012, her venture to Paris briefly introduced her to the French entertainment industry, securing roles in a renowned music video from the movie “Les Kairas” and a short film alongside French actress Esther Garrel. However, visa constraints prompted her return to Brazil after three months, leading her to relocate to Sao Paulo to further her cinematic aspirations.

Continuing her career in Brazil, Avila pursued a post-degree in Cinema from a university in Sao Paulo, augmenting her artistic knowledge. Her dedication and talent earned her a scholarship for the Summer Art Course at Santa Fe University in New Mexico in 2014, marking her inaugural experience in the United States. Through her multifaceted journey, Priscilla Avila has displayed unwavering commitment and versatility, carving a path that intertwines her love for the arts with a continuous quest for growth and knowledge.
