Pravessh Rana

Biography:

Pravessh Rana is an Indian model, actor, and television host who was born on February 26, 1983. After taking home the Mr. India title in 2008, he became well-known and has since walked the catwalk for a number of top Indian designers. In addition to hosting several seasons of the popular reality show Emotional Atyacha

r and major Indian award events including the Screen Awards, Indian Television Awards, and Golden Petal Awards, Rana was a contestant on the reality television program Bigg Boss (2009). In Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns (2013), he made his Bollywood debut and was nominated for Best Male Debut at the 2014 Apsara Awards.

Rana’s career has grown internationally with notable roles in Hollywood television programs in addition to his work in Indian cinema. Alongside Oscar nominee Tahar Raheem, he starred in The Serpent (2021). He also costarred with BAFTA and Emmy Award winner Jared Harris in Foundation (2021) on Apple TV+. In his developing global career, these projects represented significant turning points.

After graduating from Meerut’s St. Mary’s Academy, he went on to Delhi University’s Ramjas College to earn a B.A. (Honors) in Economics. He graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art with a Master of Fine Art (MFA).

In 2008, he emerged victorious in the Mumbai Haywards 5000 Mr. India competition. Rana has hosted several seasons of Emotional Atyachar and worked for television networks like as Zoom, STAR Plus, The Walt Disney Company, and Colors (Viacom 18). Rana finished Bigg Boss Season 3 as the runner-up. He most recently appeared in the television series The Serpent on BBC ONE.
