Pedro Figueiredo is a Portuguese professional golfer who was born on June 13, 1991. won the KPMG Trophy on the Challenge Tour in June 2018.
Figueiredo’s amateur career was prosperous. He made his first of seven appearances for his country at the 2003 European Boys’ Team Championship when he was twelve years old. In 2008, he took home the Irish Amateur Open Championship and the Boys Amateur Championship.
Figueiredo won three events while playing collegiate golf at UCLA. After participating in the 2013 Palmer Cup, he became a professional in the middle of the year.
Figueiredo had limited success when playing on the Challenge Tour between 2013 and 2016. He was a member of the Pro Golf Tour in 2017. He had a steady season with three runners-up and ten other top-10 performances, finishing fourth in the Order of Merit and earning a spot on the 2018 Challenge Tour despite not winning any tournaments.
With a birdie on the first extra hole, Figueiredo defeated Stuart Manley and Anton Karlsson in a playoff to win the KPMG Trophy in Belgium in June 2018. He placed third in the SSE Scottish Hydro Challenge two weeks later. He was the last player to receive a card on the 2019 European Tour, finishing the season in 15th place in the Order of Merit. He finished 600 euros ahead of Tom Murray after making a 12-foot birdie on the last hole of the Challenge Tour Grand Final.
