P. Usha Rani

Biography:

Usha is from a typical Chennai-based middle-class household. She lived in that city her entire life. Her birthplace is Varkkala in Kerela. Father Mothi and mother Sudeshini were her parents. She began working at a young age. Her mother passed away at the age of 19, and her parents divorced. She married Malayalam filmmaker N Shakaran Nair at the start of her acting career.

They had a son ten years later. She has stayed in Chennai ever since. She has two younger sisters, Rajini and Sangeetha Raman. Vishnu Shankaran Nair is her son from her marriage to Malayali film director N. Shankaran Nair.

Since she was a young girl, Usha Rani has worked in motion pictures. The 1970s and 1980s saw her as a leading Malayali actress. She kept working right up to the early 2000s. Although Usha Rani has contributed to a few Malayalam films, she hasn’t limited her career.

She kept working in Tamil, Kannada, Telegu, and even attempted to work on few Hindi films. Her popular films include Hitler, Amma Ammayiyamma, Ekalavyan, and Thenkashipattanam.
