Prior to joining the founding staff of Red FM in Bangalore, P. D. Sathish Chandra was employed at The Hindu. He helped establish the Gulbarga, Mangalore, and Mysore stations during his 18 months of employment with Red RM. He was Radio Mirchi 98.3 Bangalore’s programming head. His portrayal of Pandu in Zed Kannada’s five-year, 1,336-episode Panduranga Vittala brought him fame. He was the host of Public TV’s satirical TV show Vaaranna. He serves as a mentor for Bangalore’s Kala Soudha theatre. He established Pradarshana Kala Samsthe, a performing arts organisation. In the Malayalam movie Kutty Srank (2010), he played the antagonist in his first significant motion picture role. He and fifty-one other performers created a video book during the COVID-19 pandemic. He frequently appears in films directed by M. G. Srinivas, and in Old Monk (2022), he portrayed the steampunk character Time.
