Oona Chaplin

Biography:

Spanish, Swiss, and British actress Oona Castilla Chaplin (Spanish: [ˈuna kasˈtiʎa ˈtʃaplin]) was born on June 4, 1986. She portrayed Zilpha Geary in the television series Taboo, Kitty Trevelyan in the BBC drama The Crimson Field, and Talisa Maegyr in the HBO TV series Game of Thrones.

Geraldine Chaplin, an English-American actress, and Patricio Castilla, a Chilean cameraman, were born in Madrid. Because of her mother’s past connection with film director Carlos Saura, she has a half-brother named Shane.  Hilda Valderrama, her paternal grandmother, was a Mapuche human rights attorney.  A member of the Chaplin family, she is the great-granddaughter of Irish-American author Eugene O’Neill and the granddaughter of English actor and director Charlie Chaplin.  She has the name of Oona O’Neill, Charlie Chaplin’s fourth and last wife, who was her maternal grandmother.
