The writer and producer Nick Santora was born in Queens, New York, in 1970. At the New York City Independent International Film Festival, he took home the Best Screenplay of the Competition award. In addition, he created and executive produced Beauty and the Geek and has written and/or produced for The Sopranos, The Guardian, Law & Order, Prison Break, Lie to Me, and Scorpion. The television show Breakout Kings was likewise co-written, conceived, and executive produced by Santora. From 2014 to 2018, he oversaw the development and executive production of four seasons of Scorpion.
After completing Columbia Law School, Santora worked as a lawyer for six years before deciding to give up her full-time job to create and produce television. Along with being a credited writer on the Lionsgate/Marvel Studios movie Punisher: War Zone, Santora also wrote and produced the movie The Longshots, which starred Ice Cube and Keke Palmer.
