Leslie Louise Bibb (born November 17, 1973) is an American actress and model. She was born in Bismarck, North Dakota, and raised in Lovingston, Virginia. Her father passed away when she was three, and afterward her mother moved the family—Leslie and her three older sisters—to Richmond, Virginia. There, Bibb attended the all-girls Catholic school, Saint Gertrude High School.
At age 16, in 1990, she won a nationwide modeling competition hosted by The Oprah Winfrey Show in partnership with Elite Agency. Judges John Casablancas, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, and Iman chose her as the winner. After her junior year, she signed with Elite in New York City, worked as a model through the summer, and spent time in Japan before returning to graduate high school in 1991. Throughout her modeling career, she appeared on the covers of magazines such as Seventeen, CosmoGirl, YM, FHM, and Maxim, and later fronted a 2008 Almay Pure Blends commercial.
Bibb transitioned to acting in the mid-1990s. She made guest appearances on Pacific Blue and Home Improvement (1996) before landing her first film role in Private Parts (1997). Her breakthrough came in 1999 when she starred as Brooke McQueen—the smart, popular cheerleader—in the WB teen drama Popular. The show earned her a Teen Choice Award and a Young Hollywood Award nomination. Around this time, she also appeared in the thriller The Skulls (2000) and comedy See Spot Run (2001).
She went on to play recurring and lead roles in series like ER, Line of Fire, and Crossing Jordan. Bibb gained notice for performances in Wristcutters: A Love Story (2006) and opposite Will Ferrell in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006). In 2008, she entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe as reporter Christine Everhart in Iron Man and reprised the role in Iron Man 2 (2010) and What If…? (2021). She also starred in The Midnight Meat Train (2008), Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009), Law Abiding Citizen (2009), and the indie dark comedy Miss Nobody (2010), which earned her Best Actress at the Boston Film Festival.
Her later film and TV credits include The Zookeeper (2011), the ABC series GCB (2012), Netflix’s The Babysitter (2017) and its sequel, Tag (2018), and the Netflix superhero drama Jupiter’s Legacy (2021), where she played Grace Sampson/Lady Liberty. In 2024, she appeared in Apple TV+’s Palm Royale, followed by a role as a Southern socialite in season three of HBO’s The White Lotus (2025).
Beyond acting, Bibb has been a spokesperson for Revlon’s Almay brand and the nonprofit LIFE Foundation, advocating for life insurance awareness. She also supports Friends of El Faro, which aids an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico. In 2012, she posed for Allure magazine’s nude portfolio.
Since 2007, she has been in a relationship with actor Sam Rockwell, whom she met while he was filming Frost/Nixon. The pair have appeared together in several projects, including Iron Man 2, Don Verdean, and The White Lotus.
