Naomi Jade Ogawa (born August 3, 1996) is an actress of English and Japanese descent.
She was born in central London to a British father and a Japanese mother. During her upbringing, Ogawa moved frequently and attended various international schools across Europe. She later studied at the Ross School in New York, where she unexpectedly discovered her passion for acting through a school musical performance. Ogawa eventually returned to London to pursue drama school auditions and, after two years, was accepted into her top choice. She graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Acting from Drama Centre London.
Originally using the name Naomi Tankel, she made her film debut as Kate in Liam O’Donnell’s sci-fi movie Skylines in 2020. In 2022, she landed her first major television role, portraying the vampire Yoko Tanaka in Tim Burton’s Netflix series Wednesday. However, reports in May 2024 confirmed that she would not reprise the role in the second season.
In addition to acting, Ogawa became the face of Roberto Cavalli’s Wild Leda Collection in 2023. She has also hosted the podcasts Identity Issues and Nay’s Way, and is certified as a personal fitness trainer.
