Nandamuri Harikrishna, a prominent figure in Indian cinema and politics, led a multifaceted life that left an indelible mark on both realms. Born on September 2, 1956, in Nimmakuru, Andhra Pradesh, India, he was a scion of the illustrious Nandamuri family, known for its contributions to Telugu cinema and politics.

Harikrishna’s early life was steeped in the world of cinema and politics, thanks to his father, the legendary Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), a revered actor and politician. Harikrishna inherited his father’s love for both these arenas and aspired to make his mark in them. In the 1960s, Harikrishna made his debut as a child actor in the Telugu film “Shri Krishnavataram.”

This marked the beginning of his acting career, which later flourished in the 1980s and ’90s with numerous successful films. Harikrishna’s acting prowess was evident in his memorable roles in Telugu films like “Seetarama Kalyanam,” “Aatmabalam,” and “Rajanna,” among others.
