Methil Devika

Biography:

Methil Devika is a research supervisor and a classical dancer from India. In 2023, she worked as a Senior Research Associate at ISRO’s Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, where she developed a notion for an arts-integrated, cutting-edge science project. She is presently working on Temple Terrain as a New Performance Space for the Woman Dancer: A Study on How the Modern Woman Reinvents her Art in Esoteric Spaces as part of the Kerala Chief Minister’s Nava Kerala Post Doctoral Fellowship With the Malayalam film Kadha Innuvare, which was directed by national film award winner Vishnu Mohan, she made her feature film debut.

Before earning a degree in business from Government Victoria College in Palakkad, Devika attended The Indian High School in Dubai, St. Thomas Convent School in Palakkad, and Mercy College in Palakkad. She holds an MBA from the University of Madras and an M.A. in Performing Arts from Rabindra Bharati University in Kolkata. She graduated from Bharathidasan University in Tiruchirappalli with a Ph.D. in Mohiniyattam.
