Melia Kreiling
Biography:
Kreiling was born in Geneva, Switzerland, to an American father, Randall A. Kreiling (1947–2011), a well-known international commodities trader involved in the global markets for cattle, pork bellies, sugar, and metals, and a Greek mother, Katia Dimopoulou. She spent her childhood in Athens, where she attended an English-language school before enrolling at the National State School of Dance. Later, she moved to the United Kingdom to continue her education at the University of Winchester and the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds. She also received further acting training at the London School of Dramatic Art.
Kreiling made her screen debut in the 2011 short film Room to Forget. She gained recognition in German-speaking regions for her role in the historical drama The Borgias. In December 2012, she appeared in a television special about Rosamunde Pilcher and reprised her role in The Other Wife. She also had a brief cameo in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy as the character Bereet. In 2013, she portrayed Bathsheba in the History Channel miniseries The Bible. From 2015 to 2016, she played Daliyah Al-Yazbek, a recurring character in the FX drama series Tyrant.
In February 2018, Kreiling joined the cast of the CBS summer series Salvation for its second season, portraying Alycia.
