Lina Esco

Biography:

Lina Esco is an American actress, producer, director, and activist who was born on May 14, 1985. In 2007, she became well-known for playing the daughter of Jimmy Smits’ character in the CBS drama Cane. Additionally, Esco has acted in movies such as London (2005), Kingshighway (2010), LOL (2012), and Free the Nipple (2014). In addition, she played SWAT operator Christina “Chris” Alonso in S.W.A.T. and, most recently, Captain Jackie Velez in the popular Netflix series The Rip (2026).

Esco was scheduled to appear in Fox’s pilot Exit Strategy in February 2011. Described as a high-stakes procedural, it takes place in the world of CIA officers dispatched to “fix” failed operations. Ethan Hawke, Megan Dodds, and Antoine Fuqua were among the cast members. Esco was to portray Mia, a South Boston computer expert and MIT graduate. Esco joined Michelle Monaghan, Wes Bentley, Scott Speedman, and Jennifer Jason Leigh in Ryan Murphy’s 2014 HBO pilot, Open. London marked Esco’s film début in 2005. In the 2012 comedy LOL, she portrayed a supporting role.
