Lakshmi Alapati

Alapati Lakshmi, hailing from Hyderabad’s Yousufguda locality, is deeply rooted in Telugu culture, speaking the language as her mother tongue. While her academic journey led her through completing the 9th standard, her true calling unfolded in the world of Telugu cinema and television.

As a prolific actress, she has left an indelible mark in the entertainment industry, gracing nearly 60 films and several TV serials with her presence. Her cinematic journey commenced with the 1984 release “Kai Raja Kai,” directed by the Paruchuri Brothers and produced by Alapati Ranga Rao. In this film, starring Chandra Mohan and Murali Mohan, she stepped into the industry, primarily portraying supporting roles.

Among her extensive filmography, she has contributed to notable movies like “Babai Hotel,” “Emandi Avida Vachindi,” “Yamajathakudu,” “Sree Ramulayya,” “Suryam,” “Chilipi Krishnudu,” “Sri Satyanarayana Swamy,” “Mahanagaramlo,” “KPHB Colony,” “Thanks,” “Sukumarudu,” “Amrutham Chandamamalo,” “Vijayam,” “Durgi,” and “Band Baaja,” among others.

She’s been part of various serials such as “Bamidipati Radhakrisna Kathalu” alongside actor Suthi Velu on DD, “Damini” on Gemini TV, and the Gopi Kasi Reddy-directed serials “Radha Madhu” and “Laya” aired on MAA TV.
