Kwon Jae Hwan, professionally known as J.Heart, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, dancer, and producer. He is also recognized as a former leader and vocalist of the boy group N-SONIC (엔소닉). A graduate of Yongin University, J.Heart initially trained under SM Entertainment before making his official debut in October 2011 with N-SONIC’s digital single album, We Are SuperBoys.
Following their debut, N-SONIC expanded their reach beyond South Korea, promoting in Japan and China under C2K Entertainment. In November 2015, J.Heart ventured into a solo career, releasing his first digital single, Call My Name. However, in May 2016, after returning from concerts in Japan, the group cut ties with their agency, ceasing all communication with C2K Entertainment. They also failed to attend scheduled events in South Korea and later pursued contract termination, leading to their disbandment.
Shortly after, on May 26, 2016, J.Heart enlisted in the military. During his service, C2K Entertainment filed a lawsuit against the group, seeking compensation for their absence from scheduled activities. However, on June 22, 2017, the court ruled in favor of the members, officially ending their contractual obligations to the agency.
Post-military, J.Heart resumed his music career as an independent artist. In August 2018, he made a comeback with the digital single Shut Up and Just Dance, embracing indie music. He has continued his journey as a soloist, exploring various musical styles.
In June 2022, J.Heart married YouTuber Rachel Kwon, marking a new chapter in his personal life.
