Biography:

Kunal Kaushik, a prominent actor in the Indian film industry, primarily operates within Bollywood but has established a significant presence in the Telugu film sector. Notable films in his repertoire include “Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru” (2016), “The Ghazi Attack” (2017), “O Sthree Repu Raa” (2016), and “Sri.” In the film “Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru,” Kunal collaborated with director Karthick Naren, who also served as its writer.

The production involved Knight Nostalgia and Filmotainment, with musical contributions from Jakes Bejoy and editing by Sreejith Sarang. Distributed by Dream Factory and Venus Infotainment, this Tamil thriller hit Indian cinemas on December 29, 2016. Kunal portrayed the character Rajiv alongside Rahman in the lead role, depicting the story of a police officer named Deepak forced into retirement due to the unfortunate loss of his right leg in an accident.

Five years after this incident, Kunal’s character encounters a man aspiring to become an IAS officer, leading to a narrative that unravels his past. The film was a significant success at the box office. In “The Ghazi Attack,” Kunal collaborated with Telugu director Sankalp Reddy and a production team including Karan Johar, Anvesh Reddy, Venkatramana Reddy, Prasad V Potluri, N. M. Pasha, and Jagan Mohan Vancha under the banners of “PVP Cinema” and “Matinee Entertainment”.

Narrated in Telugu by Chiranjeevi, in Hindi, and Tamil by Suriya, with distribution by Dharma Productions and AA Films, the film featured lead roles played by Rana Daggubatti, Atul Kulkarni, Taapsee Pannu, and Kay Kay Menon. Kunal portrayed the character Kapil Singh, and the film, released on February 17, 2017, received positive reviews, depicting a story based on the Indo-Pak war of 1971.

Ghazi earned the “Best Feature Film in Telugu” award at the 65th National Film Awards in 2018. In “Sthree Repu Raa,” Kunal worked alongside celebrities Diksha Panth, Ashish Gandhi, and Shruthi Mol. Directed and produced by T. Ashok Kumar Reddy, with music by Ghantasala Viswanath, this horror film with romantic elements hit theaters on March 11, 2011, receiving average reviews from audiences. Despite mixed critical reception, the majority of films in which Kunal played a role emerged as box office hits, contributing significantly to his successful career in the film industry.
