Biography:

Kshitij Tarey, born on August 26, 1984, is a playback singer in the Hindi film industry. Raised in Ujjain, Rajasthan, his musical journey began at the tender age of three, as he embarked on learning Hindustani classical music, a pursuit he continued for the next fourteen years. Remarkably, he released his first album, titled “Sant Gajanan Varde,” at the age of fourteen. His passion lies in composing and immersing himself in music, particularly tunes that carry a profound meaning and provide him with a profound sense of fulfillment.

Kshitij possesses an appreciation for music in all its forms, yet when it comes to writing and composing songs, he believes it depends on the mood he’s in. In his view, the essence of the original song should never be lost during the creative process. He consistently dedicates himself to writing his own songs and refining his singing abilities. Interestingly, he finds greater contentment and delight in the art of composing music than in singing itself. To him, the key to composition lies in effectively expressing one’s perspective, as it is this ability that shapes a song’s creation.

Kshitij Tarey has lent his melodic voice to various movies, including notable titles such as ‘Murder 2,’ ‘Lamhaa,’ ‘Sonali Cable,’ ‘The Untold Story of Kashmir,’ ‘Ragini MMS 2,’ and many others. Among his famous renditions are ‘Ae Khuda’ from ‘Murder 2,’ ‘Tose Naina Laage’ from ‘Anwar,’ ‘Main Jahan Rahun’ from ‘Namastey London,’ and ‘Shivaay’ from ‘Shivaay,’ to name a few. Collaborating with Sayeed Quadri, he contributed to ‘Iltejaa,’ a poignant, romantic song that delves into the theme of heartbreak. Notably, Kshitij Tarey received the GIMA Award for Best Devotional Album, a testament to his musical prowess and versatility.
