Khushboo Purohit, a stunning Indian television dancer and actress, rose to fame through her participation in the dance competition show “Dance India Dance” on Zee TV. Her remarkable beauty and captivating dance moves caught the attention of both the judges and the audience during the 2009 DID challenge.
Originally from Sirohi, she relocated to Mumbai to nurture her dancing skills. Khushboo, along with her sister Bhavana, dedicated five years to training in Bharatanatyam. Her role models include Urmila Matondkar, Madhuri Dixit, and Shakira, whose moves and belly dancing performances she emulated.
Following her success on the show, Khushboo received numerous offers for television serials, movies, and performances. Her television acting career began with her debut in the drama series “Sasuraal Genda Phool” on STAR Plus, directed by Ravi Ojha. She also portrayed the character Swati in the crime drama series “Waaris” on Zee TV in 2008.
In 2013, she got the opportunity to appear in the hit crime drama film “Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram – Leela,” directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, alongside Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. This film, based on Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet,” became the highest-grossing film of 2013 and garnered numerous awards.
Khushboo’s acting prowess landed her roles in recent Bollywood films like “Meinu Ek Ladki Chaahiye” and “Babloo Happy Hai.” Despite her passion for acting, she openly expresses her greater affinity for dancing.
She also took on the character of a modern girl aspiring to marry a wealthy doctor for a luxurious lifestyle in the drama series “Hamari Sister Didi” on Sony Pal. Additionally, she appeared in an episode of the crime-based serial “Hum Ne Li Hai…Shapath” on Life OK.
