Biography:

After becoming himself in a scandal for imitating Karan Johar on a TV show, Kettan Singh took stock of the situation and admitted that he didn’t know why Karan was furious. Kettan apologized right away and reaffirmed how much of a fan he was of Karan, but he claimed that at the time, he was unsure if Karan had taken offense at his remarks, his demeanor, or the humor he was making. On Madness Machayenge – India Ko Hasayenge, Kettan imitated Karan. The filmmaker saw the show’s promo and posted a furious message on social media.

Kettan was questioned about the issue that developed after Karan took offense at his impersonation in an interview with The Lallantop. According to Kettan, a colleague approached him and proposed that they revive an idea they had when working on Kapil Sharma’s program. Coffee with Chooran was the name of the event. “I played that character in six or seven episodes, and it was really well received,” he remarked. Kettan responded, “It’s Kapil Sharma’s show, everybody watches it,” when asked if it was possible Karan had missed the mimicking on Kapil’s show.

He responded, “Not every other person was mimicking KJo,” when asked how he knew Karan was upset. And I only imitate those I’ve paid careful attention to. Nobody has, in my opinion, performed KJo as well as I have. There was not a single offensive line in that screenplay. I never went overboard. Yes, I did keep Karan’s use of double entendre. Someone emailed me an Instagram post when I was using my laptop at home. It was a note from Karan. He hadn’t even specified which channel he had seen it on or who he was upset with. However, I was aware that he was referring to me. I looked at the promo, but it was unclear to me why he was furious.
