Kavya Ajit born on 17 July 1991 in Kozhikode, Kerala, Kavya Ajit is an accomplished Indian singer, violinist, and live performer. She hails from a musically inclined family, receiving early training in Carnatic Music from her grandmother, Kamala Subrahmaniam, an All India Radio artist. Her education and training continued in Chennai under the guidance of Geeta Devi Vasudevan and Madurai Rajaram. Additionally, she initiated into Western Violin at a young age, mentored by Albert Vijayan Japheth.
Kavya attended Presentation Higher Secondary School and Silver Hills Public School in Kozhikode. She pursued computer science engineering at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetam, Coimbatore. Despite working at Cognizant Technology Solutions, she left her job to pursue a career in music.
Kavya Ajit made her debut in the music scene in 2014 with the film “Rose Guitarinaal,” where she gained recognition for the song “Engum Nalla Pookkal.” Her Tamil debut was the song “Hey Umayaal” for the film “Urumeen.” Notably, her breakthrough came with the song “Neeyen Kaataai” from the film “Jo and the Boy.”
