Biography:

Karthik Rodriguez stands as a prominent figure in the Tollywood music scene, celebrated for his dual roles as a singer and music composer. His illustrious career is adorned with numerous hit songs that have left an indelible mark on the music landscape.

Born on January 3 in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, Karthik’s journey is rooted in the support of his family, which includes his parents and an elder sister and brother. His parents played a pivotal role in fostering his musical interests, providing him with the foundational knowledge of music. After completing his schooling at St. Joseph High School, Karthik pursued engineering in Bangalore.

However, after two years, he realized that his true passion lay in music, prompting him to return to Kadapa and embark on a musical career. Karthik’s entry into the music world was marked by his participation in the Telugu singing show, Padutha Theeyaga, in 2010. Despite facing an early elimination in the semi-finals, he demonstrated resilience by undergoing formal music training in Chennai under the guidance of A.R. Rahman’s KM Music Conservatory.

Equipped with newfound skills, Karthik returned to Hyderabad in 2011 and delved into composing music for short films. In 2014, Karthik Rodriguez marked his debut in the film industry with Adavi Kaachina Vennela, collaborating with Josyabhatla. His talents further shone through in the composition of music for the web series Muddapappu Avakai (2016), a production of Niharika Konidela.

The web series garnered immense popularity, propelling Karthik into the limelight. The year 2017 saw Karthik’s involvement in the mini Television series, Nenu Mee Kalyan, where his work received widespread acclaim. Not confined to mainstream cinema, he contributed to short films and music videos like Kalakaarudu, Hey Aasha, Disthi, and Anaganaga Oka Nanna.

However, it was the energetic Canteen song from the 2019 movie Dear Comrade that served as Karthik’s breakthrough moment. Sung by him in the Telugu version, the song, composed by Justin Prabhakaran, catapulted him to fame, earning widespread recognition and admiration. Building on this success, Karthik continued to make significant contributions to the music industry.

He worked on the crime thriller film Ranarangam (2019), lending his musical prowess to the songs “Kannu Kotti” and “Kummeyra.” Additionally, he collaborated with Manisha Eerabathini for Tollywood mash-up cover songs in 2016 and 2018. His musical journey further expanded with the composition of Rowdy Anthem for Vijay Devarakonda.
