Karthick Naren

Biography:

Indian director Karthick Naren was born on July 23, 1994, and he primarily works in Tamil films. Prior to directing his first feature picture, Naren has directed multiple critically acclaimed short films, including Pradhi and Nirangal Moondru. In the surprise hit 2016 movie Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, he made his big screen premiere.

MNG and Saradha Manis of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, are the parents of Karthick Naren. A native of Ooty, he lived in Coimbatore for the majority of his life. It was at Lisieux Matriculation Higher Secondary School that Naren finished his education.

He then enrolled at Kumaraguru College of Technology to study mechanical engineering. In order to pursue a career in filmmaking, he left his mechanical engineering course during his third year of study.

At the age of 22, Naren made his feature film directing debut with the critically acclaimed and financially lucrative thriller Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru. Knight Nostalgia Filmotainment, his home banner, provided financial support for Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru.

After 100 days at the box office, the movie became one of Tamil cinema’s top grossing debut pictures The movie elevated Naren to the status of one of Tamil cinema’s most promising directors.

Naragasooran, Naren’s sophomore endeavor, features a group of actors. The film, which stars Arvind Swamy, Shriya Saran, Sundeep Kishan, and Indrajith, wrapped up its 41-day filming in 41 days. Producer Badri Kasturi of Shradda Entertainment is behind Naragasooran. The movie hasn’t been released in theaters yet.
