K.P. Jagan, also known as Jagannaath, is an accomplished Indian actor and director who has left his mark in the film industry. As a director, he has helmed four films: “Pudhiya Geethai” (2003), “Kodambakkam” (2006), “Raman Thediya Seethai” (2008), and “En Aaloda Seruppa Kaanom” (2017). He made his acting debut in the film “Mayandi Kudumbathar.”
Jagan’s journey in the film world began as an office worker for T. Rajender, followed by work as a make-up artist for film actors. His career took an upward trajectory when he became associated with renowned filmmaker Cheran and eventually worked as his assistant.
One of Jagan’s notable directorial ventures, initially titled “Geethai,” underwent several casting changes and transformed into “Pudhiya Geethai.” Although the film received mixed reviews upon release, it carried a strong message and was lauded for its conviction in delivering that message. Jagan’s third directorial, “Raman Thediya Seethai,” earned praise for its touching storytelling and emotional depth, establishing him as a director with a knack for sincere storytelling. Unfortunately, his next project, “Roja Malli Kanakambaram,” faced financial challenges and was shelved.
In his personal life, Jagan is married to Thadsaginy, a Sri Lankan-based Tamil girl, since 2009.
