Jyothi Meena, an Indian actress primarily associated with Tamil cinema, gained prominence through her appearances in notable films, particularly remembered for her impactful item numbers and supporting roles in movies like “Ullathai Allitha” and “Azhagana Naatkal.”

Born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Jyothi Meena is the daughter of the renowned actress Jyothi Lakshmi, while her father works as a cameraman. Her upbringing was within the realm of the film industry, inheriting a familial connection to the world of cinema. Unfortunately, her mother passed away at their Chennai residence in 2016 due to blood cancer, marking a significant personal loss for Jyothi Meena.

She made her debut in R. Sarathkumar’s Tamil film, “Ragasiya Police.” Despite not playing lead roles, her contributions in supporting characters, notably in films like “Ullathai Allitha,” “Azhagana Naatkal,” and “Gopala Gopala,” earned her recognition among audiences. Her appearances in item numbers alongside acclaimed actors like Ajith Kumar, Prabhu, and R. Sarathkumar further established her presence in the industry.

Following her marriage, Jyothi Meena decided to retire from acting. However, in an interview in October 2017, she expressed her openness to returning to the industry if offered a substantial character role that piqued her interest.
