American film editor John Refoua was born on December 8, 1964, and died on May 14, 2023. For the movie Avatar, he received a Best Film Editing nomination at the 2009 Academy Awards. Stephen E. Rivkin and James Cameron were also nominated. He contributed to television shows such as Law & Order, Twin Peaks, and Touched by an Angel. At the age of 58, he passed away from complications associated with bile duct carcinoma.
