American Joanna Calo is a producer, director, and writer. In addition to co-writing the MCU movie Thunderbolts* (2025) and co-showrunning The Bear, she is well-known for her work on the television shows Hacks and BoJack Horseman.
She has received an Independent Spirit Award, a Producers Guild Award, and three Writers Guild of America Awards. She has received four Primetime Emmy Award nominations. She has two kids with her spouse. California’s Los Angeles is where they call home.
